Growing up as the son, brother and best friend of architects has ingrained the utmost respect for the design process and the art of buildings. I build because I never got over my love of Lego and the kinetic pleasure of creating. The pursuit of perfection drives me to excellence as well as to the humility of being human. When interviewing a contractor; check out the craftsmanship of the back of a closet they have built. "how you do anything is how you do everything".
Brad Catleugh

I'm a custom home carpenter with over a decade and a half of experience. Throughout the early years of my career working as a carpenter, I also worked as a freelance journalist traveling around the Middle East documenting the Syrian refugee crises in early 2012-14. Also traveling Asia, I made my way across India predominantly by local train. Balancing the passion to build and the passion to document through photography, I was able to observe unique architecture and how other cultures build. I've since then dedicated my life to understanding and mastering frame to finish completion of high end custom homes while providing the highest quality for unique builds.
Darryl Molander

My name is Darryl Molander, a skilled labourer working at Handy Building. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and decided to switch up the mountains for the lakes in Simcoe County. Formerly working for an award winning custom home builder, I now have the opportunity to self perform more of the work myself and broaden my skills as a builder.
